This was one of the best places I have ever stayed in the walled section of Cartagena. The rooms are very US in that the bed has more than a sheet and a multiple pillows. The bathroom has hot water in the shower and sink. Both of these qualities have not been common in the past. Although the comfort is very much for tourists, it does not take away from the charm of staying in a converted domicile. The location of the hotel is perfect. Half a block from the clock tower so if you are looking to go to the islands you can find a deal first thing in the morning without having to get up as early as everyone one else. This is also right next to the sweets corridor if you are in the mood for a cocada. Go right next door and get some traditional food for dinner or lunch. Fried fish, coconut rice, and the best coconut lemonade I have ever had in the 20 years I have been traveling to Colombia. The service was amazing!
